Thomas Area Veterans Memorial

Thomas Area Veterans Memorial is located in Mound Valley Cemetery on West South Street in Thomas, Oklahoma. Two vertical gray granite slabs with tops cut at an angle toward the center. In the center is a horizontal granite piece with the seals of the military engraved. On the left vertical granite are the words: Thomas VFW Post And Auxiliary Honors all that Served our country Thomas area Veterans Memorial Engraved here in stone And in the hearts of the People forever One the right vertical granite are the words: A special salute To those in our Area killed in Combat World War I listed of those who have died in the war. World War II listed of those who have died in the war. Vietnam War listed of those who have died in the war. In front of the monument are memorial bricks with names of veterans engraved on black polished brick. Contributions are made to the VFW for the black polished brick engraved with veterans names.
