The memorial is composed of several items including a beautiful walkway and a black granite archway with World War I and World War II engraved soldiers on each side. In the park is a replica of the Navy bow anchor from USS Oklahoma BB-37 that sank on December 7, 1941 in Pearl Harbor by the Japanese military. The National Guard 45th Division donated three 105 MM Howitzers and a restored Bell UH-1D Huey helicopter. Also, a USAF AIM-7 Sparrow missile is on display. A two-section wall constructed of 10 black granite slab panels 6’ x 6’ weighing 3800 pounds. The wall is engraved with over 8,000 Oklahoma veterans who gave their life in combat starting in the Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraq Freedom, Operation New Dawn (Iraq) and Operation Inherent Resolve (Iraq). The wall and walkway are lighted at night.
