The memorial fountain was constructed 07/10/1957 and was installed with a marble stone inscribed/dedicated to Veterans of WWII. In early spring of 1998 the fountain was restored by Dick Guyer of the American Legion Post 223 Shippensburg, Pennsylvania and John Reed and Lee Lynch from the VFW Post 6168 Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. Flags and shrubbery were added to the site and a bronze plaque was added stating dedicated to veterans of all wars. The memorial was rededicated on Memorial Day, 1998.
