This is a dual purpose memorial in that it honors and remembers those who lost their lives on September 11,2001 and those military personnel who subsequently lost their lives in action in Afghanistan and Iraq. The main focal point is a steel piece of the World Trade Center surrounded by 12 black marble plaques engraved with all of the names of those who made the supreme sacrifice. An honor roll style monument in the tradition of the Vietnam Walk.
