The Tomah Area Veterans Memorial is located in Memorial Park at 515 N. Superior Ave. (US Hwy 12), just north of downtown Tomah. The Tomah Area Veterans Memorial Campaign was launched in an effort to recognize all area veterans. With the region's long and continuing military heritage, there was unwavering community support for the project. A design was selected and fundraising began in 2009. No public monies were used. Ground was broken on July 6, 2010, and the memorial was dedicated on Sept. 10, 2011.
