How to watch the American Legion World Series

The 95th American Legion World Series begins Thursday with eight teams vying for the championship of American Legion Baseball.

The ALWS is played annually at Veterans Field at Keeter Stadium in Shelby, N.C., the permanent home of the series since 2011.

The eight-team field is determined through eight regionals nationwide, which begin with 64 teams comprised of state champions, host teams and runners-up from states with the largest American Legion Baseball lineups.

The eight teams are divided into two divisions, the Stars division and the Stripes division, for pool play. The top two teams in each division after round-robin pool play advance to the semifinals, scheduled for Aug. 15.

The pool play games will air on ESPN3, while the semifinals and championship game will air on ESPNU. Live scoring is also available at americanlegion.sportngin.com/ or on the American Legion Baseball app. And follow on social media on Twitter (@LegionBaseball), Instagram (@TheAmericanLegion) and Facebook (@OfficialAmericanLegionBaseball and @AmericanLegionWorldSeries) using the hashtag #ALWS22.
