Legacy Run souvenirs available in mid-October

The cancellation of the 15th annual American Legion Legacy Run due to the coronavirus pandemic resulted in the creation of a tiered donation program to allow continued support for The American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund.

American Legion Family members have the opportunity to contribute to the fund, with donations starting at $15 to signify the 15th year of the Legacy Run. Those donating will receive various souvenirs from this year’s altered Legacy Run, as has been the case for participants in and donors to previous rides. Those souvenirs include a challenge coin, a t-shirt and a Legacy Run 15 years in review booklet; shipping of items will take place after the completion of The American Legion Fall Meetings in mid-October due to COVID-19 restrictions that have slowed down both manufacturing and shipping.

Some who made $50 or $250 donations early on in the Legacy Run online fundraiser weren’t given an option to select a shirt size. Attempts have been made to reach those donors, but those who this issue has impacted are urged to contact National Headquarters at legionriders@legion.org to provide a shirt size.
