SAL unveils web site redesign

In effort to keep Sons of The American Legion members updated on membership and news surrounding detachments and squadrons nationwide, the SAL national web site has been redesigned.

The new site better serves its visitors by offering timely news stories, photos and videos, as well as direct access to membership reports, publications and downloads. Additionally, visitors can easily link to the SAL’s social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook, and listen to tapings of the "SAL Radio Report" where two New York SAL members discuss military issues, troop support and the programs and services of the Legion and SAL.

More importantly, visitors can stay connected to the SAL web site when on-the-go thanks to a new mobile-phone application for the Apple iPhone and the Android.

Android users can click here to download the free Sons of The American Legion application. IPhone users can download the free application from the Apple App Store, which is accessible from any iPhone.

"With the new SAL application available from some phones and iPads, the Sons are moving into the future of telecommunications," said Wes Wills, the detachment of Kansas adjutant. "The site is still a work in progress, but everyone that I have talked to about the site has had positive comments."
