The award recognizes an SAL member who has performed outstanding service in grassroots veterans advocacy.
Nominations are due July 20 for the SAL George B. Evans Grassroots Veterans Advocate of the Year Award. If there is a winner, they will be announced at the SAL National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 25-27.
The award recognizes an SAL member who has performed outstanding service and made significant contributions in time and effort to grassroots veterans advocacy work.
Award nominations may be submitted by any individual, squadron, district or detachment. Nominees must have current good standing membership in the SAL for at least one year.
