A soldier's thrilled when the last bullet
rang out through the sky
Until he realized there was a sharp pain in his chest a bullet went straight through his vest he laid on the ground in a bloody mess the tears ran down with every fear, emotion he had chosen the service instead of his relatives in Inverness a part of Florida that has plenty of wilderness he laid there knowing the service would help him progress his brothers in arms put pressure on his chest he recalled the day he enlisted he chose the field instead of hiding behind a desk now he has a slug close to his heart screaming I'm gonna die for the U.S God Bless put me where my brothers rest he put God first forgetting his brothers already put him in a cart heading to a medivac then everything faded to black a soldier's blood is what made him comeback he left Iraq wondering who gave his life back an MP said a brother in arms carried you across the battlefield and got shot in the back they are bringing his casket back from Iraq he saved you twice carrying you along with being a donor he was able to give u his heart cause he seen how the bullet grazed ur heart he knew he was dying but he was smart he just kept striving saying I will be with u shortly mother I have to save my brother to get him to his wife cause she was in labor with his first born daughter after the MP spoke all the soldier could do was wipe his tears away with his shoulder realizing there were additional dogtags hanging from his caller when he looked at the name he felt truly blessed it read from your Heavenly Father God almighty all the soldier could do is look at the MP and say why me then he just stared back at him who knows how Miracles come to be
