100 Miles medals are on their way

Participants in the second annual American Legion 100 Miles for Hope will be receiving their medals soon. Shipping began this week.

In order to save costs, and therefore contributions to The American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation, the medals were bulk ordered once the challenge began in early April. Once the initial order was placed, it took approximately six weeks to produce the medals.

Additionally, there is a new way to celebrate. A special “finisher’s certificate” is available on the 100 Miles for Hope web page. Once participants complete their goals, they are encouraged to download and print out the certificate, then share it on social media and/or the Legiontown web page.

There is still time to join the 100 Miles for Hope, which goes until Sept. 6. There are two options to register (see details here). Regardless of which option you select, you are able to improve your own fitness and wellness, while supporting our nation’s disabled veterans and military families in financial turmoil.

All proceeds from the $20 registration fee, merchandise purchases via Emblem Sale (see available options here) and donations go toward the V&CF.
