New web page hosts Legion's family support programs

Last year, The American Legion had a significant impact on the well-being of wounded warriors, veterans, servicemembers and their families. The American Legion's Operation Comfort Warriors program provided 38 grants totaling $177,000 to aid wounded warriors in their recovery and provide needed rehabalitation and comfort items to veterans at VA hospitals nationwide. The Legion's Temporary Financial Assistance program awarded $830,151 in cash grants, benefitting 600 veterans and 1,396 children in need. And Legion family members attended deployment ceremonies to support National Guard, reserve troops and their families and to provide reassurance that The American Legion will help meet their needs through its Family Support Network program.

The American Legion has launched a special web page – www.legion.org/family – to make it easier for veterans, servicemembers and their families to access these support programs in one location and to receive immediate assistance.

The web page features direct links to the Legion's OCW, TFA and Family Support Network assistance page, as well as information on Children & Youth programs. The page also features the latest news and videos surrounding each of the programs.
