The ALWS takes place Aug. 14-19; here’s how to keep tabs on all the games.
The 98th American Legion World Series (ALWS) takes place Aug. 14-19 in Shelby, N.C., the permanent home of the event since 2011.
Eight teams from across the nation qualified for the ALWS. They are divided into two divisions, the Stars Division and Stripes Division, and compete in round-robin pool play within their divisions Aug. 14-17.
The top two finishers in each division will then advance to the Aug. 18 semifinals, with the Stars Division winner facing the Stripes Division runner-up, and the Stripes Division winner facing the Stars Division runner-up. The semifinal winners will then face off in the championship game on Aug. 19.
How to watch
Pool play games, Aug. 14-17, will stream on ESPN3. The semifinals on Aug. 18 and the championship game on Aug. 19 will air on ESPNU.

Game 1: Great Lakes champion vs. Central Plains champion, 10 a.m.
Game 2: Northeast champion vs. Mid-Atlantic champion, 1 p.m.
