Scott Eyre pitched in relief five times during the Philadelphia Phillies’ 2008 World Series run.

But his time playing Legion Baseball for Post 38 in Magna is special too.

"My fondest memories of being in high school and playing baseball are Legion ball," said Eyre, who now lives in Columbus, N.C., and coaches in nearby Landrum, S.C. "I remember a bunch of stuff from the big leagues of course. But, as I get older, it always comes back to playing Legion Baseball."
