A new certificate encourages a post, district or department to reward efforts for fulfilling the Legion’s mission to save a life and reduce veteran suicide.
American Legion Family members and posts are supporting the Legion’s Be the One mission to reduce veteran suicide, save a life and destigmatize the need to ask for help. This is being fulfilled through suicide prevention training, Be the One events, Buddy Checks or asking a veteran if they are OK.
The American Legion has created a Be the One recognition certificate for a post, district or department to present to a member or post for their efforts in advancing the Be the One mission. The certificate is a fillable PDF that can be downloaded, customized, printed and framed.
- Visit the Be the One resource page to find the certificate under Print Materials.
- Click on it to download. The certificate will be located in the downloads folder on your desktop, or appear in the top right corner of the screen.
- Customize the certificate by clicking on the highlighted boxes.
American Legion Family members are encouraged to share their Be the One story and events at legiontown.org.
