Deadline is April 24 to enter; June 26 for Color Guard Contest.
After a hiatus in 2025, the National Concert Band Contest is set to return at the 107th American Legion National Convention in Louisville, Ky. The contest will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, in Hall D, Upper Concourse of the Kentucky International Convention Center, with Concert Band and Exhibition Concert Band classes. The deadline to apply is April 24.
The National Color Guard Contest will be Friday, Aug. 28, also in Hall D. The five classes are Advancing/Retiring of Colors, Military, Military-Open, Open and JROTC Drill. Applications are due by June 26. The start for the contest is TBA, depending on the final count of entries; in 2025, 24 JROTC units from multiple states competed.
