American Legion Family members commemorating Flag Day urged to share their plans. We’ve got a speech available for your events.
Flag Day is Sunday, June 14. Many American Legion posts hold flag retirement ceremonies or host community celebrations to commemorate the date in 1777 when the United States approved the design for the first national flag.
If your post is hosting a Flag Day event, please share in the Rally Around the Flag category on legiontown.org with photos.
And on Flag Day at 7 p.m. is the annual Pause for the Pledge.
The following resources are available to help Legion Family members promote Flag Day, share the history of our flag, answer common questions about the flag, and more. Visit legion.org/flag for more information.
