The U.S. World War One Centennial Commission is offering a virtual tour of the final approved design, as well as a construction update, as part of its webinar series.

Development continues on the National World War I Memorial in Pershing Park in Washington, D.C., after the formal groundbreaking in December. The U.S. World War One Centennial Commission is offering a virtual tour of the final approved design, as well as a construction update, as part of its webinar series.

American Legion posts can join the AEF Memorial Corps by donating to the memorial, perhaps in the name of its namesake. According to commission VSO/Military Director David Hamon, as of March the memorial was averaging about $300 per week in donations from posts. And Hamon is still collecting the stories of posts named for World War I veterans; contact him at (540) 379-8584 or david.hamon@worldwar1centennial.org.

The American Legion is a Commemorative Partner of the U.S. World War One Centennial Commission.
