The user-friendly web page features a comprehensive list of American Legion legislative priorities, along with a brochure and point papers.
The American Legion’s legislative web page has been updated with new resources that highlight the organization’s priorities for the 119th Congress, 2nd Session. These priorities include veteran suicide prevention and homelessness, improved care for women veterans, veteran entrepreneurship, balanced community care, and more.
The 2026 legislative resources can be accessed here. They include:
Priorities. Visit this page for a comprehensive account of each legislative priority, key points about the priority, what Congress can do to support it, and American Legion supporting resolutions.
Legislative agenda. Download the brochure on the Legion’s legislative agenda. American Legion National Commander Dan K. Wiley will testify March 4 before a joint hearing of the House and Senate Committees on Veterans’ Affairs regarding this agenda.
Point papers. Download and print the seven one-page legislative point papers on the Legion’s priorities. Each point paper features background information on the priority, what Congress can do to support it, and a QR code that links to the full list of The American Legion’s legislative priorities. Legion Family members can share these point papers with their members of Congress during their time in Washington, D.C., for the upcoming Washington Conference.
