Legion pushes to hit USA 250 goals, secures benefits for veterans and feeds families.
March began with American Legion National Commander Dan K. Wiley delivering legislative priorities to Congress, and by the end of the month, the Legislative Division director was on Capitol Hill weighing in on a dozen bills that aim to improve VA health care.
Thousands of veterans and their families received free VA claims and appeals assistance from The American Legion in the month, and one staff team spent a half-day volunteering at Indiana’s biggest food bank to help feed needy citizens.
