Veterans outreach, assistance scheduled for Vermont

Department of Vermont Legion Family members are teaming up to conduct a district revitalization and veterans outreach effort March 14 in and around Addison, Chittenden and Franklin counties. Legion Family members will be on hand to discuss veterans benefits, The American Legion’s legislative efforts, membership opportunities and service to the community.

The effort will take place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at American Legion Post 91, 3650 Roosevelt Highway, Colchester. A veterans service officer will be available to discuss claims and other Department of Veterans Affairs benefits-related questions.
