Doughboy

The Doughboy Monument was started August 23, 1921 in front of the Ravalli Courthouse (now the Ravalli County Museum). The base of the statue (18,000 pound granite block) was cut in Helena Montana. The Statute is six-foot Bronze set on the base. The Monument was completed and then dedicated on November 11, 1921. The project was paid for by the citizens of Ravalli County and private donations.
