Asheville Memorial Stadium
The stadium entrance was designed to serve as a memorial to Western North Carolina’s war veterans, but the original vision of a true memorial was never completed. Completed in 1927 and dedicated to the 63 veterans lost in World War I. In 1949, extensive upgrades were completed to the stadium and park to include the those lost in World War II.
