Plantation Memorial Park

Plantation Memorial Park

The Park is centrally located in the Plantation at Leesburg, Florida. The Plantation is a gated senior citizens community of approximately five thousand residents. There are two hundred seventy six veterans living here. We have 30 WWII veterans still alive and kicking, 52 Korea, 160 Vietnam, 12 Desert Storm and 2 Afghanistan. We celebrate Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Day of Prayer and our Christmas Tree Lighting that we hold on December 7th to honor those who died at Pearl Harbor. We have a full dress honor guard with a rifle salute, full dress color guard and a single plane fly-over. 2018 will be our nineteenth year in operation. Additionally, upon request of the family, we provide military services for a deceased veteran including flag presentation. The Park, is a total volunteer effort including its initial construction. It is maintained and funded by donations and engraved brick sales.
