Choctaw County Memorial - Hugo, Oklahoma

Choctaw County Memorial is a vertical slab of light gray granite sitting on one horizontal slab of light gray granite as the base. At the top are the words "In God We Trust" and just below is an American Flag engraved in color in the granite. Below the flag are the words "Dedicated to veterans of Choctaw County To the men and women who serviced their Country during peacetime and war with honor." Next is a Civil War cannon mounted on wheels engraved in the granite. Below the cannon are the words "We shall not forget" in large font. At the bottom are the words "Erected by citizens of Choctaw Co. 11-11-1988".
