Life size bronze statute of a Union Civil War soldier. The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War is the legal successor to the Grand Army of the Republic, the Union Civil War Veterans organization. The SUVCW members are descendants of Union Civil War soldiers. The memorial site was the former location of Grand Army of the Republic Post 28
