World War II Monument, Wakefield, Massachusetts
This is a large monument featuring polished and inscribed granite walls, bronze plaques and a gilded American eagle with its wings outstretched. The plaques pay tribute to all Wakefield residents who served in the Armed Forces of the United States during World War II and the 72 men who gave their lives for freedom.
