Veterans Memorial Plaza, Brewster, Massachusetts

Veterans Memorial Plaza, Brewster, Massachusetts

A collection of 5 large upright boulders, each having a large mounted metal plaque which list the names of Brewster, Pennsylvania residents who served in a specified overseas war of the United States (World War I, World War II, Korean and Vietnam Wars) or have honorably served in the Armed Forces. The first such memorial was donated in 1919 by the Brewster Grange while the others were periodically added following each conflict. In addition, a small polished granite marker honors those who participated in the "Battle of the Bulge" during World War II and was placed by "Cape Cod and Islands Chapter 58 of the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge". The memorial plaza is a large grassy-covered area in front of an old town building which originally served the town offices but now houses the town's Council on Aging.
