Courage, Respect, Citizenship

American Legion Baseball is a national institution, having thrived through a world war, several national tragedies, and times of great prosperity as well as great despair.

Since its inception in 1925, American Legion Baseball’s reputation as one of the most successful and tradition-rich amateur athletic leagues has endured. Today, the program registers teams in all 50 states plus Canada. Each year young people, ages 13 to 19, participate. Countless ALB alumni have also gone on to play in college and professional baseball, with 82 inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

CONGRATULATIONS, CENTENNIAL CLASSIC CHAMPIONS!

Minnesota rallies to win Centennial Classic

The American Legion Baseball team representing Glenwood/Lowry (Minn.) Posts 187/253 might want to add “stay resilient” to any team mottos.

After their resilience helped them rally for a win Saturday in the Centennial Classic in Milbank, S.D., it paid off again in a big way in Sunday’s championship game.
