Catch up on all the highlights of this year’s 79th session of “a week that shapes a lifetime.”

The 79th session of American Legion Boys Nation is complete, but the memories of a “week that shapes a lifetime” will live on.

In case you missed our coverage, or just want to revisit some of the moments from the 2025 session of Boys Nation, you can do so at Legion.org/BoysNation.

In words. American Legion Social Media Manager Steven B. Brooks wrote daily stories, even before the 100 senators who comprised the 79th session of Boys Nation arrived. Among the highlights:

·       New program director PNC Clarence Hill called it a “dream job” to take over the role.

·       Veteran staff and newcomers alike eased into the week via the hospitality of American Legion posts in Springfield and Vienna, Va.

·       Alumni from the Boys Nation Class of 2015 shared their experiences with their successors.

·       Off-campus visits included Fort McHenry, Arlington National Cemetery, the Pentagon, Capitol Hill and more.

·       The senate president pro tempore and Boys Nation president/vice president elections.

·       Why two former participants came back to Boys Nation as counselors.

·       How blindness isn’t slowing one senator down.

·       The senators say goodbye to each other.

In images. American Legion Visual Media Specialists Jennifer Blohm and Jeric Wilhelmsen captured the week in photos and videos. Highlights included:

·       The senators’ arrival on Friday, as well as that evening’s ice cream social.

·       Their visit to the National Mall.

·       Sunday morning’s patriotic memorial service.

·       Thursday’s annual visit to Capitol Hill.

The 2025 edition of the annual Boys Nation Yearbook will be available this fall.
