American Legion Boys Nation and the American Legion Baseball Centennial Classic in Milbank, S.D., were July highlights for the nation’s largest veterans service organization. An American Legion-backed bill to protect veterans from foreclosure on their VA home loans, lower-than-expected force reduction at VA and some words from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth were among the month’s developments in the nation’s capital.
And July 3, The American Legion Family USA 250 Challenge took the first steps in a yearlong journey of fitness, wellness and service in celebration of the nation’s semiquincentennial in 2026.
