December Impact: Claims reps complete big year

Accredited American Legion service officers helped veterans obtain more than $16.5 billion in VA disability benefits in 2023, and national staff appeals representatives handled no fewer than 13,187 claims.

Their work capped a big year in American Legion service and advocacy that also included an all-time-high Operation Comfort Warriors grant delivered in Alabama; a big jump in the Tango Alpha Lima podcast audience; and growing support for the Legion’s Be the One mission.
