OCW donation planned for Legacy Run

The Legacy Run stop in Killeen, Texas, on Aug. 21 will include an American Legion Operation Comfort Warriors donation of thousands of dollars worth of sporting goods and outdoor games to Fort Hood’s Warrior Transition Battalion.

National Commander James Koutz, Killeen Mayor Dan Corbin, Department of Texas Legionnaires and officials from USAA – sponsor of the 2013 Legacy Run – will take part in a ceremony at the Killeen Civic & Conference Center.

During the ceremony, $6,000-$7,000 worth of sporting goods and outdoor games – including softball and baseball gear, flag football equipment, ladder ball, corn hole and Frisbee golf – will be donated. Big Hoss Bar-B-Que will cater a lunch.
