Department of New York donates $100,000 to Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga

Past Department of New York Commander David R. Riley Sr. presents a check for $100,000 to Dr. Erin Christopher-Sisk (co-founder of Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga). Department leadership toured the equine therapy center earlier this spring with National Commander Vincent J. "Jim" Troiola (N.Y.). The center assists veterans and other community members suffering from PTSD. Riley praised Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga and their staff for their assistance in The American Legion's continuing efforts in veteran suicide prevention and the Be the One program. Accompanying Riley was Edwin Burmaster (past department vice commander) and Dave Lockhart (department Media Alliance chairman).
