Hampden Post 2: Vietnam veterans from Hometown Heroes project honored during Baltimore Ravens Opening Day

Hampden American Legion Post 2 in Baltimore was honored to have the Baltimore Ravens host six of our Vietnam veterans during the game. Beforehand they got to be on the field during warmups and at halftime wave the flag, and during the third quarter were recognized on the big screen and announced for their service. One member who was supposed to attend unfortunately passed days before, so his wife was honored to stand in his place. All will be honored during Veterans Day with our Hampden Hometown Heroes program where we will have printed banners throughout the community highlighting each member for their service. #Hampdenstrong
Thank you to our Post 2 Vietnam heroes for their service and being honored. This effort was inspired by attending our Maryland convention in July, where our leadership discussed paying special attention to the 50th Vietnam anniversary, and we wanted to honor our own.
