During the American Legion Department of Louisiana Convention held at the Best Western Convention Center in Alexandria from June 8-11, 2023, Department Vice Commander Frank Richard (left) and Department Commander Allen Dunn (right) presented the “Big Twelve Goal Date Award” (for posts with 101-250 members) to Dr. O. S. Holiday Memorial Post 27 from DeRidder. This award is presented to posts in each department vice commander's membership area who achieved the highest percentage of its goal above 90% by March 15, 2023. Accepting the award on the post’s behalf was Post 27 Commander Charles Spence (center).
