On May 8, 2021, Post 35 held its first Butterfly Release. This was a community event that allowed those who lost a loved one during COVID and were unable to say goodbye due to restrictions a chance to do so, and to allow mothers and their children a chance to bond in a special way. This allowed the Legion and the local community a chance to bond together and showed the Legion is here to support the community. The event was well received by the community, and all are looking forward to doing it again next year.
