I was invited to attend the presentation of a Proclamation declaring September 16, 2009 as The American Legion Day at the Governor's Reception Room. Then I attended a funeral for slain Charleston officer and Marine Jerry A. Jones. It was very emotional to see a departed comrade have so much support.

Then I went to assist my Marcia Pratt at her deceased daughter's birthday party. Candlelight Vigil for Fallen Domestic Violence Victim To honor Starlena Pratt's birthday and raise awareness about domestic violence, friends,family and community held a candlelight vigil at Little Creek Park in South Charleston. Pratt died last year in an act of domestic violence from the hands of her boyfriend. Pictured is Marcia with me.
