There are 50 days remaining in The American Legion 100 Miles for Hope, meaning new registrants only need to average two activities per day to reach the goal.
Today (July 19) marks 50 days to go until the end of the second annual 100 Miles for Hope. That means even if you haven’t signed up yet, all you need to do is complete two activities each day, on average, to meet the goal. (Get started here.)
There are more than 40 activities on the Kilter app that count, everything from walking to pet fitness to cycling to volunteering. And, if your activity isn’t listed, you can add it by using the “other” designation. That will allow participants to submit activities such as gardening and riding a motorcycle to count toward their goal. (Learn more about activity tracking here.)
The app allows up to three activities per day, so there is plenty of time to meet the goal of 100 activities while improving your physical fitness, boosting mental wellness and supporting the challenge’s beneficiary, The American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation.
Speaking of goals, there are two challenges under way that you can also join:
• The Breakout Challenge pits similar-sized departments against one another for the month of July. The competition is close so every participant registered and dollar raised during July will not only help disabled veterans and military families, they will also support your department. Click here for all the details.
• The Riders Challenge goes until Labor Day, same as the regular 100 Miles for Hope. Riders chapters and individual members can receive incentives based on which tier they reach, with targets for miles ridden and donations collected. Learn more about this special challenge here.
