Al Kaline

Kaline, Al

Named 1972 American Legion Baseball Graduate of the Year, "Mr. Tiger" Al Kaline made 18 All-Star appearances and won 10 Gold Gloves. The 1955 batting champion also won the 1968 World Series with the Detroit Tigers. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1980. He played American Legion Baseball in Baltimore, Md.


George Kell

Kell, George

A Class of 1983 inductee into the Baseball Hall of Fame, George Kell played American Legion Baseball in Swifton, Ark., and went on to a major league career with 10 All-Star appearances, over 2,000 hits and a career batting average of .306 at third base over 15 seasons with the Philadelphia Athletics, Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles.


Jeff Kent

Kent, Jeff

After playing American Legion Baseball in Bellflower, Calif., Jeff Kent went on to play 17 seasons in the majors with the Toronto Blue Jays, New York Mets, Cleveland Indians, San Francisco Giants, Houston Astros, and Los Angeles Dodgers. He was the NL MVP in 2000 with the Giants and holds the career record for home runs by a second baseman with 377.


Harmon Killebrew

Killebrew, Harmon

Named 1969 American Legion Baseball Graduate of the Year, Harmon Killebrew was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984. Known for his power, Killebrew led the American League in home runs six times. He made 13 All-Star Game appearances and was the 1969 AL MVP. He played five years of American Legion Baseball in Payette, Idaho, including a state title.


Craig Kimbrel

Kimbrel, Craig

After playing American Legion Baseball for Decatur (Ala.) Post 15, Craig Kimbrel debuted in the majors with the Atlanta Braves in 2010. He was NL Rookie of the Year in 2011 and helped the Boston Red Sox win the World Series in 2018.


Anna Kimbrell

Kimbrell, Anna

A gold medalist in the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto, Anna Kimbrell helped lead the United States to victory in the inaugural women's baseball competition at the event. She was the first female to play American Legion Baseball in South Carolina and went on to star at UAB as a softball player.


Ralph Kiner

Kiner, Ralph

Ralph Kiner fell in love with baseball because his neighbor was the head of Alhambra (Calif.)'s American Legion Baseball program and he went on to slug for three teams, leading the NL in home runs seven times on his way to an induction in the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1975.


Jason Kipnis

Kipnis, Jason

A two-time All-Star second baseman with the Cleveland Indians, Jason Kipnis played American Legion Baseball in his hometown of Northbrook, Ill.
