A gold medalist in the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto, Kimbrell helped lead the United States to victory in the inaugural women's baseball competition at the event. She was the first female to play Legion Baseball in South Carolina and went on to star at UAB as a softball player.
Kiner fell in love with baseball because his neighbor was the head of Alhambra (Calif.)'s American Legion Baseball program and he went on to slug for three teams, leading the NL in home runs seven times on his way to an induction in the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1975.
